Much of San Antonio is straightforward for a full-size carrier. The suburban north and northwest, out toward Stone Oak, Alamo Ranch and the Loop 1604 corridor, has wide roads and plenty of commercial frontage.

The harder areas are the historic core and the neighbourhoods immediately around it. King William, Southtown, Monte Vista and the streets near downtown are narrow, often one-way, and carry heavy tourist traffic around the River Walk and the Alamo.
