High-Value Cars

Luxury & Exotic Car Transport

Low noses, wide tires and expensive paint change how a car should be loaded and who should carry it. We arrange enclosed transport with a liftgate, soft straps and a carrier whose insurance limits suit the car's value.

Neptune arranges door-to-door transport for exotic and luxury cars across the 48 contiguous states. We are a broker: we book a vetted enclosed carrier for your route and specify the loading equipment your car needs, and the carrier's driver picks the car up and delivers it.

The cars we move most

Our dispatch records from mid-2022 to August 2026 show what high-value shipping looks like in practice. Maserati comes up most among exotic makes, ahead of Bentley, Lamborghini, McLaren, Ferrari and Lotus. Porsches outnumber all of those together, mostly Cayenne, Macan, 911 and Panamera models. And most premium cars in those records are not exotics at all: BMW and Lexus lead, followed by Audi, Cadillac, Mercedes-Benz and Tesla.

The options below apply to all of them. What changes from car to car is the ride height and the value, and those two decide the equipment and the carrier.

Loading a low car without scraping it

A steep ramp is where low cars get damaged: the front splitter or undertray touches before the wheels climb. On request, we book an enclosed carrier with a hydraulic liftgate, which raises the car level on a platform instead of driving it up a ramp. Tell us the ride height and any front lip, splitter or aftermarket aero, so the carrier knows what it is loading.

Once it is on the trailer, the car is tied down by its wheels with soft straps, with no chains over the body or frame.

Out of sight, and on its own if you want

Some owners ask about discretion before price: cars that turn heads at every light, or owners who would rather not advertise what they have. In practice, that comes down to equipment. An enclosed trailer keeps the car out of view on the road and at every stop, so it is not on display or photographed on the way. If you want it to travel alone, we can book a single-vehicle (exclusive) enclosed trailer. It costs more than a shared one, because your car pays for the whole trip.

Before we assign a carrier, we check its operating authority, its insurance certificate, its safety rating and its Central Dispatch rating.

Insurance sized to the car

Your car is covered by the assigned carrier's cargo insurance, not by Neptune: at least $100,000, usually $100,000 to $250,000, and for a more valuable car we find a carrier with higher limits. On luxury loads, which usually move enclosed, limits run up to $1,000,000. Amounts vary by carrier and load, so tell us the car's value when you request a quote, and we send you the carrier's insurance certificate before pickup.

If damage does happen, you file the claim directly with the carrier's insurance company, and we supply the Bill of Lading, the dispatch sheet and the contract to support it. How cargo coverage works is worth reading before you book a car at this end of the range.

Condition photos at pickup and delivery

The driver records the car's condition on the Bill of Lading with photos at pickup and again at delivery, and we can send you those photos. Before pickup, wash the car so marks are easy to see, photograph it yourself from every side, and note any chips or curb rash it already has. Our guide to shipping a luxury car lists the questions to ask a carrier first.

What it costs

We do not publish prices. An exotic's quote depends on distance, enclosed or open, a liftgate or single-vehicle request, how flexible your dates are and the season. Request a free quote and an agent calls you back with a price for your route.
