Choose enclosed transport
For a high-value vehicle, enclosed transport is the standard. It fully shields the car from weather, road debris and public view for the entire journey. Open transport saves money but exposes the vehicle to the elements — a trade-off that rarely makes sense for a six-figure car.
Enclosed carriers also tend to be operated by drivers who specialize in premium vehicles and understand their quirks.
Loading: lift-gates and soft straps
Low-clearance supercars should be loaded with a hydraulic lift-gate, which raises the car level and avoids the steep ramp angles that scrape splitters and undertrays. Soft nylon wheel straps secure the car without stressing the suspension or chassis.
If your vehicle is especially low or has specific needs, confirm that a lift-gate-equipped carrier will be dispatched.
Insurance and documentation
Make sure the carrier's cargo insurance limits are appropriate for your vehicle's value — high-value shipments call for higher coverage. Document the car thoroughly with photos at pickup and delivery, and complete the condition report carefully.
