What matters practically is that I-10 is a major transcontinental carrier corridor. Much of El Paso is workable for a full-size carrier. The east side and the newer development along Loop 375 have wide roads and good commercial frontage.

The constraints are terrain and age. Neighbourhoods on the slopes of the Franklin Mountains, including parts of the west side and Kern Place, have steep grades and tight switchback streets that a trailer of roughly 75 to 80 feet cannot negotiate.
