I-27 links Lubbock north to Amarillo and stops there. It is the only interstate serving the city, and it connects to nothing beyond the Panhandle. Everything else runs on US highways: US-84 southeast toward Abilene and northwest to Clovis, US-62/82 east toward Wichita Falls and west toward New Mexico, and US-87 following the I-27 alignment.
