Arizona to Florida Car Shipping
Door-to-door auto transport from Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, Phoenix and the rest of Arizona to Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Tampa and the rest of Florida. Our records show a 5-day median once the car was loaded.
Arizona to Florida car shipping, in Neptune Auto Transport’s records, starts in the East Valley more than anywhere else. Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, Scottsdale and Tempe supplied more than four in ten pickups, well ahead of Phoenix itself. That is the opposite of our Arizona to Texas lane. Four in ten cars went to South Florida. If you are moving from Arizona to Florida, the median trip took 5 days once the car was loaded. Any delivery from June to November lands in Florida’s hurricane season, so plan a little slack.

No car on this lane went to Southwest Florida or to The Villages, the places people often picture for a retirement move.
How long does it take to ship a car from Arizona to Florida?
The median in our records was 5 days from loading to delivery, and nine in ten cars arrived within 3 to 6 days. The Gulf side of Florida came up quickest: Tampa Bay deliveries ran a median of 3 to 4 days, while South Florida and Orlando took about 5. Phoenix pickups ran a little faster than East Valley ones, and West Valley pickups a little slower.
By road, Phoenix to Miami is about 2,350 miles and Phoenix to Orlando about 2,130, almost all of it on Interstate 10. Pickup on standard service is usually 2 to 5 business days after booking; if you need a firm date, ask about expedited auto transport. These are completed shipments, not a delivery promise.
Shipping into Florida’s hurricane season
Florida’s Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30, with most storms between mid-August and mid-October, according to NOAA’s National Hurricane Center. Pickups on this lane came in every season in our records, so plenty of deliveries land inside that window. Our Colorado to Florida lane is a day quicker, at 4 days.
- Keep the last days flexible. If a storm is heading for your part of Florida, carriers may hold loads until the roads are clear, so leave a day or two of slack around delivery.
- Plan for the Valley heat at pickup. Summer pickups often happen in triple-digit heat; check the battery and tire pressure, and take aerosol cans and electronics out of the car.
- Have a spot ready at the other end. A garage or a driveway above low ground is worth arranging before a coastal delivery in storm season.
Phoenix to Miami, Orlando and Tampa
- Phoenix to Miami. The Phoenix metro to South Florida was the most common trip, with a 5-day median over about 2,350 miles.
- Phoenix to Orlando. Valley cars to Greater Orlando also ran about 5 days; Gilbert to Orlando came up twice.
- Phoenix to Tampa. Phoenix, Mesa and Litchfield Park cars to Tampa, Oldsmar, Ruskin and Bradenton, at a median of 4 days.
- Mesa and Gilbert to South Florida. East Valley cars to South Florida were the single most common area pairing, at 5 days.
- Phoenix to the Treasure Coast. Two Phoenix cars went to Vero Beach.
To ship a car from AZ to Florida, the Valley is where almost every trip begins. Shipping the other way? Our Florida to Arizona route, where the Orlando area supplied about three in ten pickups, also took about 5 days in our records.

If you are shipping an SUV or a pickup from Arizona to Florida, tell us about a lift kit, a tonneau cover or anything in the bed, since those affect how it is loaded.
Open or enclosed out of the Valley
An open carrier is the least expensive way to cover more than 2,000 miles and suits most everyday cars. Enclosed transport from Phoenix to Florida keeps a classic, a convertible or a freshly detailed car out of desert dust and Gulf rain, and it needs a few more days of notice. Our Phoenix auto transport page covers pickups across the metro.
Getting your car ready for pickup in Arizona
- Book early if your date is fixed. Earlier booking gives you more carriers to choose from, and expedited auto transport covers a firm date.
- Take out any toll transponder, since Florida’s toll roads can charge it on the way to your door.
- Keep personal items light and below the window line; our packing guide explains the limits.
- Photograph the car at pickup and keep your copy of the Bill of Lading until delivery.
How we measured it
All shares and times on this page come from Neptune Auto Transport’s records of Arizona to Florida orders placed from June 2022 to August 2026, excluding voided orders. Areas group ZIP codes by their first three digits, so the East Valley here means the Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler and Tempe ZIP codes. Transit is counted from loading to delivery; one record showing same-day delivery was left out, and the median is 5 days either way. Lane comparisons use our busiest lanes, and percentages are rounded to 100. No order, customer or address is shown, and nothing here promises a price or a delivery date.
