Florida to Arizona Car Shipping
Car transport from Florida to Arizona, door to door, from Orlando, Miami, Tampa and Jacksonville to Phoenix, Mesa, Gilbert, Scottsdale and Tucson. Our records put the median trip at 5 days.
Florida to Arizona car shipping in Neptune Auto Transport’s records started all over the peninsula rather than mainly in Miami: the Orlando area supplied about three in ten pickups, and South Florida fewer than one in four, against about four in ten on our other routes out of Florida. More than eight in ten cars went to the Phoenix metro. Once loaded, the trip took 5 days at the median. If you are moving from Florida to Arizona, recent prices to Phoenix and Tucson were $1,200 to $1,500 for a car, most of them $1,200 to $1,400.
Florida to Phoenix or Tucson: what does car shipping cost now?
No row below rests on fewer than three separate recent shipments. They were dispatched from April to October 2026, for an operable vehicle on an open carrier, door to door.
| Route and vehicle | Recent price range |
|---|---|
| Florida peninsula to the Phoenix metro and Tucson, car | $1,200 to $1,500 |
| Florida peninsula to the Phoenix metro and Tucson, SUV | $1,200 to $1,500 |
| Florida peninsula to the Phoenix metro, pickup truck | $1,400 to $1,500 |
| Pensacola to Arizona, pickup truck | $1,600 to $2,000 |
Most cars went for $1,200 to $1,400 and most SUVs for $1,300 to $1,500. The recent shipments run from Miami to Mesa, Orlando to Mesa and Tampa to Tempe to Jacksonville to Phoenix, Fort Lauderdale to Phoenix and St. Petersburg to Scottsdale.
One reading stands out: pickups from Pensacola cost more than pickups from the peninsula, $1,600 to $2,000 against $1,400 to $1,500, even though Pensacola to Phoenix is about 1,700 miles by road and Orlando to Phoenix about 2,136. Distance is only one part of a price. Treat the table as recent history, not a quote: what you pay follows your two addresses, the vehicle, your timing and how many carriers are running I-10 that week. Was Orlando or Miami the bigger starting point for Arizona?
| Pickup area | Share of pickups |
|---|---|
| Greater Orlando | 31% |
| South Florida (Miami to Boca Raton) | 24% |
| Tampa Bay and Sarasota | 17% |
| Southwest Florida, Northeast Florida and the Panhandle | 28% |
The Orlando area supplied nine pickups: Orlando four times, Kissimmee three, Apopka and Winter Park. South Florida supplied seven, fewer than one in four, against about four in ten on our other routes out of Florida: Miami twice, plus Miami Lakes, Fort Lauderdale, Davie, Pembroke Pines and Boca Raton.
Tampa Bay added five, from Tampa, Riverview and Zephyrhills to Davenport and St. Petersburg. The rest came from Naples, Port Charlotte and North Fort Myers, St. Augustine twice, Gainesville, Flagler Beach, and Niceville in the Panhandle. Our Jacksonville page covers pickups in Northeast Florida.
Phoenix, Mesa or Tucson: which Arizona cities got the Florida cars?
| Delivery area | Share of deliveries |
|---|---|
| Phoenix metro | 83% |
| Tucson, Fort Huachuca, Kingman and Safford | 17% |
The Phoenix metro took 24 of 29 cars: Phoenix nine times, Gilbert four, Mesa and Scottsdale three each, and Chandler, Tempe, Avondale, Glendale and Queen Creek. Tucson took two, and single cars went to Fort Huachuca, Kingman and Safford.
Our Phoenix, Mesa, Gilbert, Scottsdale and Tucson pages each add local pickup and delivery notes, and the Arizona auto transport page covers the rest of the state.

Do you need a paper Florida title to register the car in Arizona?
For the car, a moving to Arizona checklist comes down to the title, an emissions test where it applies, and registration. Arizona asks you to register as soon as you become a resident, and the ADOT Motor Vehicle Division wants the out-of-state title. Florida often keeps titles electronically, so if your car is paid off, convert the e-title to paper before you go: FLHSMV charges $2.50 through its MyDMV Portal, and some county tax collectors print one the same day for $10.
If a lender still holds the title, Arizona takes your Florida registration instead and issues an Arizona registration only, with the title staying with the lender. MVD offices also do the Level I inspection, a VIN check, at no charge when a car arrives without full paperwork. In the Phoenix and Tucson areas most cars need an emissions test before registering; vehicles five model years old or newer are generally exempt. The same Arizona steps apply to a car coming from the Northeast; our New Jersey to Arizona car shipping page covers that move.
Open or enclosed along I-10
| Vehicle type | Share of shipments |
|---|---|
| Cars and sedans | 66% |
| SUVs | 34% |
Two in three were cars and one in three SUVs; every vehicle on this route in our records was one or the other. They ran from Camrys and a Kia Forte to a BMW M4, a Mercedes-AMG GLE 53, a 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser and a 1989 Pontiac Firebird. An open carrier is the standard choice and what the prices above describe. For an M4, an AMG or a restored Firebird, enclosed auto transport keeps the car covered for the whole 2,100-mile trip.
SunPass, paperwork and the walk-around before a Florida pickup
A portable SunPass PRO comes off its suction cups, so take it with you or seal it in a shield bag. A SunPass Mini sticker stops working once removed, and SunPass warns that a car carrying one may still be charged tolls. Keep the title or registration with you rather than in the glovebox, take out personal items, and walk around the car with the driver before you sign the bill of lading.
How we measured it
The areas, medians and vehicle mix are drawn from Neptune Auto Transport’s Florida to Arizona shipments picked up from July 2022 to July 2026, 29 orders after one voided duplicate entry was removed. Areas group ZIP codes by their first three digits, transit runs from loading to delivery, the South Florida comparison is with our other routes out of Florida, and shares are rounded to 100. The prices come from a separate source, recent comparable shipments dispatched April to October 2026, and are not a quote.
