• The Corner and Rugby Road. Dense student housing with narrow streets, constant parked cars and heavy foot traffic. A carrier will not attempt these blocks during term. A meet at a larger lot is standard.
• Belmont and North Downtown. Older residential grids with tight streets and some grade. Usually a short meet nearby.
• Barracks Road and Route 29 North. Commercial corridor with large lots and wide access. The easiest loading in the area and the usual meeting point.
• Albemarle County. Outside the city limits the roads open up, but rural addresses on gravel drives and narrow lanes need a meeting point on a paved through road. Wine country properties in particular often have approach lanes a loaded carrier cannot use.
